Penthauz record rapper and singer, Akanbi Bamidele Brett, professionally known as Cheque has called out Headies Award for paying deaf attention to rap music genre.
The nominees of the 15th Annual Headies Award set to kick off by June 2nd were announced on Tuesday as Nigerian Afrobeats stars bagged multiple nominations.

The Zoom crooner was unfortunate as he was not nominated in any of the 15th Headies Award categories.
Reacting to this, the singer took to his verified Twitter handle and decried Headies for not recognizing his hard work.
He also assured fans that he’ll keep doing good in the industry even though he’s not given the accorded flowers.
In his words, he wrote:
“Another year and the HEAdIES fails to recognize my music in the Rap category, while melodic rappers like Durk and Roddy are idolized in the rap scene worldwide That’s why HiPhop has remained Stagnant HERE but It’s Calm I will still be dropping HiTs even if I don’t get my Flowers”
