BREAKING: Actor, Baba Ijesha has been sentenced to 16 years imprisonment for sexually assaulting a minor

Nollywood actor, Olanrewaju James, popularly known as Baba Ijesha, has been sentenced to 16 years of imprisonment for sexually assaulting a minor 14-year-old girl.

The embattled Yoruba actor was convicted before the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on Thursday, July 14.

The presiding judge, Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo, in a two-hour judgment, convicted Baba Ijesha of indecent treatment, sexual assault, and attempted sexual assault of comedienne, Princess’ foster daughter.

In her ruling, Justice Taiwo noted that the jail term would run concurrently.

After he was convicted, he was escorted from the courtroom by two prison warders.
